Building a Better Future for Our Children
Pediatric Trauma remains the leading cause of death and injury among children ages 14 and under in the United States.
Through our innovative Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP), the Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund is committed to developing local projects which will reduce the number of children in our three-state District who are killed or injured by trauma, ensuring all children live happy, healthy and safe lives.
The Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund offers an array of grant programs to our Kiwanis and Service Leadership Program clubs to enhance and further their efforts to build a better future for our children.
The Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund holds dear the belief that within each young person is the potential to make a difference.
Our job is to nurture and support that potential, and each year we empower hundreds of youth to become future leaders through training, leadership development, community service and scholarship support.
Kiwanis Family Grants
Thanks in part to a grant from the Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund, 225 children received a free bike helmet after completing a bicycle safety course sponsored by the Poway Kiwanis club.
More than 200 children and their families attended the Kiwanis Kids Safety Fair on June 20th where they were invited to bring their bike in for a free safety check provided by employees of a local bike shop.

She lost everything, her wedding ring, pictures from her youth, and her happiness.
When the police came they asked me for my name and what had happened. I answered in a small trembling voice, “My name is Iris La and I ruined my mom’s happiness.”
