The Tablet of Honor provides a way to honor individuals, Kiwanis clubs, divisions, or organizations that have exemplified dedicated service to Kiwanis, their club or their community.
Your $500 contribution towards the Tablet of Honor is designated as an unrestricted contribution, allowing the Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund to direct monies to the areas of greatest need.
When you honor someone with the Tablet of Honor, you…
- provide scholarships to our Service Leadership Program (SLP) members in their quest towards a higher education, helping them become the leaders of tomorrow;
- provide our SLP officers the leadership techniques and tools to acquire the skills and knowledge they need to run board meetings, organize community service projects, or plan a fundraising activity; and
- grants funds to dozens of clubs in our District who are then able to respond to the needs of children and families living in their communities.
The Tablet of Honor provides a vehicle for memorializing Kiwanis leaders, spouses, or friends, as well as a means of honoring a spouse or friend on the anniversary of a special occasion.
Tablet of Honor contributions can be made on behalf of an individual, a couple (husband and wife), a club, a corporation, an organization, or may be given as a memorial tribute. Individuals, however, cannot honor themselves.
The recipient receives a beautifully engraved walnut plaque and distinctive lapel pin. In addition, an engraved nameplate is affixed to the Tablet of Honor Shield, which is permanently displayed in the Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund Office. Recipients of the Tablet of Honor also receive recognition in donor publications and are invited to special events.
