The Kiwanis Professional Center is home to the professional staff that supports more than 63,000 service-focused members of the Kiwanis family, from K-Kids in primary school through Kiwanians, adult member-volunteers who work to improve the world one child and one community at a time.
Your support of the Kiwanis Professional Center enables your Foundation to direct more revenue to build better futures for our children through our Service Leadership Training Program; Kenneth C. Forror scholarships and Key Leader scholarships; and through our Pediatric Trauma Program.
We hope you consider investing in the future of our children by making a contribution towards the Kiwanis Professional Center.
There are three ways in which you can help:
- Become a Building Sponsor at one of three levels (Builder, Patron and Premiere);
- Purchase one or more “Building Bricks” (available in $250, $500 and $1,000 increments); and
- Make an outright contribution of any amount towards the new Kiwanis building and assist the Foundation in building a better future for our children.
Realizing the Dream
On November 3, 2006, the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation broke ground on the Kiwanis Professional Center. The building was completed on February 18, 2008 and the District and Foundation offices relocated to their new home in October of 2008.
The building has been fully occupied/rented since 2010. Our building also features both a technology-capable training room and a board room that are available for rental purposes.
Additionally, the Kiwanis Professional Center has been the site for most of our Key Club, KIWIN’S and Circle K leadership training sessions. And the relocation of our Kiwanis Lt. Governor training, Trustee training and Board meetings have saved thousands of dollars by reducing the costs which would have been incurred at other locations.
In August of 2012, Kiwanis International President Alan Penn visited the Kiwanis Professional Center and told the Kiwanians present that our building has inspired a number of other Kiwanis districts to emulate our model and build their own “home” for their district and/or foundation.
