Medical professionals and first responders in our communities have been hard at work on the front lines since the COVID-19 pandemic first began in March 2020. As a gesture of appreciation for their tireless efforts to protect us and our loved ones, the Kiwanis Club of Greater Sacramento honored medical professionals at the UC Davis Medical Center and Shriner’s Hospital and first responders of Sacramento County with a banner!
The club used a COVID-19 Community Assistance Grant from the CNH Children’s Fund to purchase a 4′ by 8′ banner. The banner includes adorable graphics representing doctors, firefighters, delivery drivers, and other essential workers along with the words “thank you” in bold, capitalized letters that can be read from a distance. The banner was placed on UC Davis Medical Center grounds in front of the Kiwanis Family House for all who pass by to see.
“The Kiwanis Club of Greater Sacramento would like to raise the morale of all…the men and women who have left the safety of their homes to care for those in dire need,” stated Armando Flores, Club President. Judging from the photo, we are sure their banner has raised the spirits of these hardworking heroes! Way to go, Greater Sacramento Kiwanians!
