Meet Mirna

“The 2020 Kenneth C. Forror, M.D. Scholarship from the Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund has been a tremendous help in making my educational goals more accessible and affordable. It has helped in covering the cost of my 4-year undergraduate education and alleviated my financial concerns. By helping remove the financial barriers of my educational goals, this scholarship has allowed me to spend more time focusing on my studies and has encouraged me to do well in my classes.

I plan to attend medical school and become a physician, a career that requires several years of education beyond the undergraduate level. This scholarship has helped me pursue my future career in medicine by allowing me to focus more on my education rather than on how to repay loans. It has made my college plans more attainable and has positively helped guide my career path.

To me, this scholarship is an uplifting reminder that my education is important and that there are people who want to see me succeed and help me reach my goals. It has been very motivating and inspiring to remember that there are people rooting for me and people who care about my future.

All the best,
Mirna Issa”
