Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital has long been a beacon of hope for families across Southern California. With one of the busiest pediatric emergency departments in the region, the hospital is uniquely positioned to provide expert trauma care and lead injury prevention efforts in surrounding communities.

The Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund is proud to support Loma Linda’s work through its Pediatric Trauma Program hospital grants. These grants allow the hospital to offer life-saving pediatric trauma and emergency care training for local first responders and hospital staff. By ensuring emergency professionals are equipped with the most up-to-date knowledge and techniques, Loma Linda is improving outcomes for children experiencing traumatic injuries.

Grant funding also supports community outreach initiatives, such as car seat safety checks - including the purchase of specialized car safety seats for children with special needs - and the distribution of educational materials to parents, caregivers, and schools. These efforts aim to prevent trauma before they happen—especially in underserved areas where injury rates are higher.

Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital exemplifies a holistic approach to pediatric trauma: expert treatment, proactive education, and deep community involvement. Through our continued partnership, the Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund is helping make childhood safer—one child at a time.
