As a vital partner in our Pediatric Trauma Partner Hospitals Program, Renown has leveraged grant funding from the Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund to extend life-saving services well beyond its hospital walls.Our support enables Renown Children’s Hospital to provide pediatric-specific trauma training to rural emergency medical services (EMS) teams who are often the first on the scene in remote areas. This training ensures that children in even the most isolated communities receive timely, expert care in emergency situations.In addition, grant funding supports community-based injury prevention campaigns, such as child passenger safety education and helmet distribution events.
These programs focus on practical, preventive steps families can take to avoid the most common causes of childhood injury.Renown also uses grant funding to procure specialized pediatric medical equipment, tailored to the unique needs of children.
