The Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund makes it easy for your Kiwanis club to recognize exceptional Kiwanians and community members with these three awards:
Bert Shoemaker Award
The Bert Shoemaker award is presented at our annual District Convention to a Kiwanian who best exemplifies the spirit of Kiwanis. Club members who have earned the love and respect of their fellow members by virtue of exceptional contributions to their club and their community are an ideal candidate for the Bert Shoemaker award.
Harold M. Heimbaugh Nathan Hale Award
The Nathan Hale award is presented at our annual District Convention to an individual who has performed an act of courage and/or personal involvement beyond the ordinary call of a citizen’s responsibility. The recipient must be a resident of California, Nevada or Hawaii.
Special Athlete of the Year Award
The Special Athlete of the Year, presented at our annual District Convention, celebrates athletes with intellectual, developmental and/or physical disabilities.
